SysMLv2: Cameo: TIP: Displays of flow connections (including proxy notation) do not always clearly display the directed features of the ends that participate in the payload exchange. But there are multiple ways of still displaying those directed features.

For a «part» you can usually (depending on the directed feature kind) use Display > Display Features (Nested view) to show the directed features that participate in the payload transfer as full feature symbols. If this is done for two parts that are connected by a flow, the flow will then appear visually to be "between" those directed features.

For a «port» - although not quite as elegant - you can drag the port from the model containment browser into its own symbol then use the above Display > Display Features (Nested view)

You can also show the information on the Elaborated (aka "exploded") view of the «flow» itself. With the ends showing as full feature «flow end» symbols, use Display > Display Features (Nested view) on each «flow end» symbol to reveal an «out ref» and «in ref» (or similar).

BTW You can optionally also show the «payload feature» within the exploded «flow» symbol.

Related: For some reason «flow def» symbols in Cameo don't have an ends compartment. You can address that somewhat by always including the element kind in each end:
