Thanks to all my SysML and MBSE colleagues on LinkedIn groups and elsewhere for your positive feedback about the concept behind the new Webel Q&A online self-testing system for SysML.

But the understandable feedback from many of you has been that you already want SysMLv2 Question Sets, and that whilst you a very interested in the Q&A approach, you are not inclined to subscribe (pay $$$) yet until there is substantial SysMLv2 coverage.

The new OCSMP exam versions for SysMLv2 are also coming sooner or later (although the SysMLv1 version OCSMP exams will not be sunsetted for some time).

I've also received (not unexpected) some feedback that some of you were surprised that I even bothered in 2025 to still offer SysMLv1 content at all in the new Webel Q&A system. It actually made sense to develop and populate the Webel Q&A system with SysMLv1 content first (and aligned with SysMLv1 OCSMP exams), as the entire IT infrastructure (there's quite a bit to it) and the subscription systems is now well developed and ready to simply populate with SysMLv2 content.

It took over 20 years to develop the Webel educational resources for SysMLv1, many of which are also now embedded in the Webel Q&A system. Webel IT Australia has been extremely generous over that time in simply giving away much of that material completely free to the public (but not "free" to develop), here on this site, the worlds' largest public resource on how to actually apply SysMLv1 for MBSE on real projects, supported by many free videos on Vimeo and YouTube.

The business model for new SysMLv2 content will be different. The Webel Q&A system will be the primary repository of resources on SysMLv2 - along with a Webel SysMLv2 Workshop Seminar course offering - and this site will only feature some minimal public examples. It has simply become too expensive and unsustainable to give so much educational material away free.

In order to develop comprehensive SysMLv2 materials of the same high quality as the Webel resources for SysMLv1, I need your support now as subscribers to the new Webel Q&A system, which is to be extended to include additional HOWTO features and an equivalent of the popular Webel tutorial trails (but far sleeker).

Your annual subscription gives you access to all new Question Sets for a year, including new SysMLv2 Question Sets. So if you subscribe in Apr 2025, you have a lot to look forward to, as SysMLv2 is the absolute priority for new content.

The more subscribers there are now for the Webel Q&A system, the more time I'll be able to devote to creating quality SysMLv2 content. And of course, that new content will be shiny. This is Webel IT Australia, I'm Dr Darren, and I'm committed for the rest of my professional life to promoting SysMLv2 for MBSE (and who knows, maybe SysMLv3 too).

Yours Systematically,

Dr Darren, Apr 2025
